Gumroad fees

Per Gumroad’s published fee help (checked 22 Sep 2026): direct sales are 10% + $0.50 plus payment processing (cards are typically 2.9% + $0.30; PayPal uses PayPal’s own fees). Discover marketplace sales are a flat 30%, which includes processing. After $20,000 in paid sales in a calendar month, new direct sales that month are 5% + $0.50. There is no monthly Gumroad subscription. Sales tax is collected separately by Gumroad.

On a $19 direct card sale that is 10% + $0.50 ($2.40) plus about $0.85 processing, so about $15.75 kept before tax. This is an estimate from published rates, not a receipt. Source: Gumroad’s fees.
